Dr. Swarat currently serves as Director, Center for International Business at the Mihaylo College of Business and Education, California State University, Fullerton (CSUF). Prior to joining CSUF, Dr. Swarat worked as a Research Officer for the Centre for International Governance Innovation located in Waterloo, Ontario, where he collaborated on several international projects focused on the BRICS economies and currency internationalization. He has also worked as the Associate Director for the US-China Chamber of Commerce, a non-profit organization that facilitates partnership and collaboration between US and China businesses. He has substantial expertise on the politics and economies of East Asia, particularly China, and is fluent in Mandarin Chinese. He has conducted extensive research in the field of international relations and international political economy, particularly as it pertains to the East Asian region. He has also designed and taught interdisciplinary courses that successfully helped students develop global competency. Through his scholarly and professional work, Dr. Swarat has gained extensive knowledge of the political, economic, educational and cultural environments of international society, which allows him to bring diverse perspectives and innovative approaches to global education.
