This is the only course at CSU Fullerton that will prepare you for the Actuary Exam 2. It presents an in-depth coverage of the theory of interest, risk theory, rate making, loss reserve. Some selective corporate finance, investment and insurance topics, such as amortization, bonds, sinking funds, securities, annuities and pensions, will be discussed.
A student who passes the course will be able to perform the following tasks:
Identify and analyze different funds
Solve mathematical problems occurring in investment and insurance
Set up actuarial models for different types of investment, pension
And, best of all, qualify for Actuary Exam 2.
The course will be taught by someone who is currently working the Actuarial field. This provides an excellent opportunity for student to know the industry better.
