We are excited to be into our next decade! After celebrating our 20th Anniversary in 2015, we are now coming up on our 22nd year!
We honored our second Family Business Hall of Fame class in March, and will be hosting our 3rd Annual Family Business Hall of Fame event on March 21, 2017 at the Richard Nixon Presidential Library in Yorba Linda. We are thrilled to have Ms. Lynsi Snyder, President and Owner of family-owned In-N-Out Burger, as our featured speaker!
Center member Tam Nguyen, from 2016 Hall of Fame inductee Advance Beauty College, is teaching our Family Business Dynamics course this semester, and we have 20 bright, wonderful students.
We are saddened to have lost our long-time Center Coordinator, Robbin Bretzing, to retirement, and will never be able to adequately replace the experience, knowledge, and passion for our families that Robbin has shown over the years. We stay in close touch with her, and she has been instrumental in the search for, and training of, our new Center Coordinator, Adrienne Bailey, who took over in June. Adrienne comes to us with 4 years of experience here at Mihaylo, and with a strong CSUF background as well. Her parents met here! I suppose you could say she has been a Titan since birth!
This academic year we will have workshops on the importance of family businesses in America, the amazing stories of two immigrant families that have flourished here in America, the dangers of wire and cyber fraud, and many more topics critical to the success and operation of a family business. Doug Box, who spoke to us back in early 2014, will be back in 2017 to share ways in which his family could have avoided the dramatic fall and destruction of their family business.
We will talk about the role our values play in running our businesses, and we will discuss proiven ways of growing and managing wealth.
