Dr. Fatima Alali is an Associate Professor in the Department of Accounting. She received her PhD from Rutgers University in 2005 and her MS Accountancy degree from Syracuse University in 2001. She completed her undergraduate work at the United Arab Emirates University. Before coming to Fullerton, Dr. Alali taught for two years at the New York Institute of Technology. She teaches auditing for CSU Fullerton. Dr. Alali’s research interests are in the area of financial accounting and reporting. She has published an article on earnings-return association: a comparison between different U.S. Stock Exchanges. She also has working papers in the area of earnings management. Dr. Alali is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma and the American Accounting Association.
